Features: Time flies. Since 1975, when I began teaching the law of obligations at the Department of Law and the Graduate Institute of Law at National Taiwan University, it has been over a quarter of a century. Throughout this period, teaching and learning have grown together, allowing me to gain some insights into the theory and practice of the law of obligations, though I always felt they were not entirely solid. Over the years, I have written several articles on the law of obligations. These articles were written due to various circumstances that sparked the idea of putting pen to paper. The writing style of these articles falls between a textbook and a monograph. Overall, there are still many topics that need to be supplemented in the content. However, I thought that even when the preliminary version is complete, it might still take about two more years, and the length might be too substantial, which is a bit cumbersome. Therefore, I will compile the articles related to the general principles of the law of obligations into Volume I and Volume II for initial publication. The arrangement of the subsequent volumes (Volume III and beyond) will correspond to Volume I and Volume II to facilitate readers in categorizing the articles by volume. As for the various parts of the law of obligations, the book on sales law was revised and republished in April of this year. One of the key revisions focused on its connection with the general provisions or theories of the law of obligations, allowing for mutual reference.
