General Allusions Dictionary

Features: This dictionary selects and includes over 2,600 common allusions, each consisting of four parts: entry name, definition, story summary, and source. The naming of entries follows the principle of generality, and to reflect the evolution of allusions and their origins, some entries note "original work" or "also known as" after the definition. Allusions derived from the same story are treated as separate entries, each focusing on different aspects of the narrative. The definition is composed of three parts: word explanation, general explanation, and descriptive, metaphorical, or extended meaning. Word explanations are provided only for ambiguous terms, while entries with easily understandable names do not require general explanations. If there are different interpretations of the entry, "one interpretation" is noted. Some obscure characters are annotated with their pronunciation in the text.
