Therefore, patients with severe varicocele still need to consider active treatment. For mild varicocele or those accompanied by neurasthenia, measures such as reporting the scrotum and applying cold compresses are recommended. For more severe varicocele, patients with a sperm count consistently below 20 million per cubic centimeter for three consecutive times, or those with testicular atrophy; if the varicosed veins disappear when lying flat, the varicocelectomy with high ligation of the internal spermatic vein can be performed.
