Features: CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is an integrated maturity model for systems engineering and software engineering launched by Carnegie Mellon University in September 2001. It is also a popular engineering implementation and management method in the industry. In December 2001, the SEI (Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University in the U.S.) officially released the 1.1 version of CMMI. Compared to the original Capability Maturity Model, CMMI has a broader scope, covering software engineering, systems engineering, integrated product development, and system procurement. This model provides two representation methods: the continuous model and the staged model. Organizations can freely choose the appropriate representation method based on their process improvement needs. The book is divided into 7 chapters. First, it discusses the confusion and difficulties that various CMM models bring to organizational process improvement and the exchange of improvement ideas. Then, it gradually introduces the introduction of the CMMI model, basic knowledge of the model, CMMI process areas, an overview of the staged representation, an overview of the continuous representation, CMMI assessment, and CMMI migration, among others. It basically covers all products in the CMMI product set and provides suggestions and practices for implementing CMMI process improvement. This book can be used as a reference for corporate executives, project managers, systems and software engineers, and process improvement practitioners. It is also suitable for senior undergraduate students, graduate students, and teachers in software engineering at universities and colleges.
