Features: In recent years, distributed application technology has developed very rapidly. Enterprises have been transitioning from traditional two-tier client/server models to three-tier or multi-tier distributed models to integrate existing Client/Server application systems and achieve secure and reliable open enterprise applications. Against this background, this book fits PowerBuilder's advanced JaguarCTS group transaction server and PowerDynamo gateway application, developing practical distributed program examples with real-world application development value. It is divided into two main parts: JaguarCTS three-tier application development and PowerDynamo/JaguarCTS multi-tier Web development, catering to the needs of distributed applications at different levels. This book does not require readers to have extensive PowerBuilder technical expertise. Each discussed technology is accompanied by a highly practical application example, ensuring that readers will not encounter the absurd question, "Where would this technology be used?" It is believed that readers will enjoy a pleasant reading experience and master PowerBuilder distributed development technology in a very short time. The examples in this book cover all aspects of distributed applications, including login verification, data entry, data queries, compound condition queries, data modification, cursors and stored procedures, graphical display, application deployment, etc. The example program code in the book is relatively easy to modify to adapt to different real-world application environments. It is believed that this book will become an invaluable reference for readers urgently seeking to study PowerBuilder Jaguar component technology and PowerDynamo Web application technology.
