Features: This book is written based on a rigorous analysis of the new changes in the listening test, combined with the characteristics of the questions, targeting the difficulties faced by candidates in the listening test. The book consists of four parts. Part includes explanations of difficult phrases from the listening sections of authentic tests from January 1989 to the end of 2000. The selected phrases are arranged in alphabetical order. Each entry provides a detailed explanation, including the Chinese translations of frequently tested meanings in exam questions, along with corresponding example sentences, and indicates the year and month of the exam in which each example sentence was used. The second part selects phrases from exam questions before 1989, also arranged in alphabetical order, and omits phrases that are repeated in Part . The third part collects commonly used phrases outside the first two parts, with difficulty levels comparable to TOEFL listening phrases, so candidates should also master and flexibly apply them. The fourth part is an index that compiles all phrases from the first three parts and arranges them in a general alphabetical order for easy reference for candidates. The book is also accompanied by three cassettes with recordings by American experts with pure pronunciation to help candidates speed up their memorization.
