Features: MATLAB provides a programming language in the form of a scratchpad: M Language. The programming of M Language is relatively simple compared to C Language, but it still has its own rules. This book, as a sister volume to "From MATLAB/Simulink Models to Code Implementation," aims to systematically elaborate on M Language from various levels, enabling readers to gain a comprehensive understanding of it. The content of this book is as follows:
Chapter 1 briefly discusses some characteristics of MATLAB's M Language, including support for scratchpad-style programming and the fact that variables do not need to be defined by type in advance.
Chapter 2 introduces the various data types supported by M Language, including strings, numerical data types, cell arrays, structures, etc.
Chapter 3 explains the logical and loop control statements, as well as exception handling statements in M Language.
Chapter 4 introduces one of MATLAB's powerful features—data visualization, covering the drawing and labeling of two-dimensional/three-dimensional graphics, as well as how to modify the properties of graphic objects.
Chapter 5 covers various aspects of file operations in M Language.
Chapter 6 discusses mixed programming between MATLAB and Simulink, including how to call M files from Simulink models and how to call Simulink models from M files.
Chapter 7 introduces the topic of developing graphical interface applications using M Language.
Chapter 8 elaborates on how to convert M programs into standalone applications using MATLAB Compiler, how to call M functions from VC++, and how to call MATLAB's scientific computing and visualization features from VC++ / VB.
Chapter 9 briefly introduces the numerous external interfaces provided by MATLAB.

The main content of this book includes: briefly introducing some characteristics of MATLAB's M Language, logical and loop control statements, as well as exception handling statements in M Language; introducing one of MATLAB's powerful features—data visualization; and discussing mixed programming between MATLAB and Simulink, including how to call M files from Simulink models and how to call Simulink models from M files. This book is written in clear and logical language, with detailed content, and is primarily suitable for technical and engineering personnel, as well as developers who use MATLAB as a development/simulation/implementation tool, as a reference book for MATLAB's M Language programming.
