Features: This book provides a detailed introduction to various methods and techniques for serial port communication programming using Visual C++. It aims to help readers further learn and master this technology through vivid explanations and abundant application examples. The book is divided into 10 chapters, covering main topics such as basic concepts of data communication, RS-232C/RS-485/RS-422 standards for serial port communication, IEEE 1284-1994 standard for parallel port communication, fundamental knowledge of Modems and AT command sets, fax machine fax protocols, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), microcontrollers, and more. The book elaborates on the use of the MSComm control, API programming for serial port control, TAPI programming and its applications. Through a series of application examples, it clearly illustrates the basic ideas and methods for solving practical problems by combining serial/parallel port communication technology with other Visual C++ technologies. The design, implementation, and encapsulation of the serial port programming debugging provide readers with insights from a project perspective. The final chapter presents numerous solutions and usage scenarios for serial/parallel port programming in engineering practice. Many serial port programming techniques and API calls in this book are available for reference byVisual Basic and Delphi programmers. The book is highly professional and practical, offering significant reference value for communication project development using Visual C++. It is suitable for intermediate to advanced programmers, software developers, and system analysts to read and reference.
