What are the symptoms of early prostate calcification?

Patient's question:

Health check, I was diagnosed with prostate calcification. What are the symptoms of prostate calcification?

Doctor's answer:

1. Early on, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) compressed the posterior urethra and bladder neck, leading to symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency.
2. There is urgency, but the urine cannot be expelled quickly. Urination is less smooth than before, with longer duration, a feeling of incomplete emptying, and difficulty urinating.
3. Long-term obstruction in the bladder neck can easily cause acute urinary tract infections, which may alleviate the aforementioned symptoms.
4. Acute urinary retention occurs when sudden congestion and edema of the prostate and bladder neck, caused by alcohol consumption, cold exposure, overexertion, sexual activity, or holding urine, lead to acute obstruction and inability to void spontaneously.
5. Renal hydronephrosis, impaired renal function, clinical recurrence of azotemia, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, and anemia.
