How long does it take to treat prostatic cysts?

Patient's question:

Last night while taking a shower, I noticed my testicles felt a bit swollen. I woke up earlier and thought I might have a fever, and it got worse in the afternoon. I went to the hospital for a check-up and was told I have orchitis. I'm really very worried. Could you please tell me how long it takes to treat a prostatic cyst?

Doctor's answer:

Prostatic cysts can be transmitted by second-order neurons and stones. Larger cysts can obstruct the urethra, leading to difficulty in urination. Common symptoms include urinary urgency, frequent urination, difficulty urinating, thin urine stream, and urinary retention. Congenital prostatic cysts are often associated with other congenital diseases such as hypospadias, cryptorchidism, and renal agenesis. When the cyst is large, a digital rectal examination can detect the cyst in the prostate, and urethral contrast imaging can reveal an arcuate impression in the posterior urethra. MRI and CT can clearly determine its location. Smaller, asymptomatic cysts may not require treatment, while larger cysts or symptomatic small cysts can be treated surgically. Surgical approaches include transvesical, extravesical, transperineal, transrectal, and other methods.
