Whether for students in science and engineering or for those in humanities, politics, law, linguistics, economics, and management, new requirements are being raised, especially in terms of knowledge, abilities, and qualities in information technology and computer technology. In summary, it is required that higher education students must possess basic knowledge in information and computer science; have the ability to use computers to solve teaching, research, and daily-life problems in their respective fields; have a computer consciousness; be able to master and use computers for innovative work; and improve work and learning efficiency through the use of computers in daily work and study, thereby making greater contributions to society.
