Patient's question:
I don't have a girlfriend, and I don't have any bad sexual habits, but recently I've noticed that there's always white stuff coming out of my urethral opening, and it's also itchy and painful when I urinate. I think it might be caused by prostatitis. Could you please tell me which hospitals are good choices for treating prostatitis abscess?Doctor's answer:
① Ampicillin: 4–6 grams/day, intravenous infusion.②: 2–4 grams/day, intravenous infusion.
③ Solution: 0.4 grams/each time, oral administration three times daily, or 250 milliliters, intravenous infusion twice daily.
④ Clindamycin: 600 milligrams/each time, intravenous infusion 2–3 times daily, suitable for prostatic abscess caused by anaerobic bacteria.
II. Physical Therapy.
Prostatic abscess can be treated with local heat therapy. Simple and commonly used methods include paraffin therapy or applying a hot water bag to the lower abdomen and perineum for cold compress, which enhances local blood circulation, promotes abscess localization, and reduces inflammation. However, burns should be prevented.
III. Surgical Treatment.
Generally, prostatic abscess is treated with perineal prostatic aspiration and drainage, and antibiotics are administered into the abscess cavity. If the abscess significantly reduces and cannot be drained spontaneously into the urethra or rupture into the urethra, surgical drainage of the abscess is performed.
