Features: This book is compiled in accordance with the spirit of the "Interim Regulations on the Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination" issued by the National Human Resources and Social Security Administration, and based on the requirements of the "Trial Syllabus for the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination – French Translation (Intermediate Level)". The purpose of this book is to systematically enhance students' vocabulary and grammar knowledge, as well as improve their reading comprehension and ability to distinguish between synonyms, through reading and exercises. The book consists of 8 units, with 2 lessons per unit. Each lesson is divided into two main parts: text and exercises. The themes of the 8 units are as follows: Sports and Entertainment, Tourism and Transportation, Politics and Society, Culture and Heritage, Education and Health, Economy and Business, Industry and Agriculture, and Science and Technology. The two texts in each unit are selected around the corresponding themes, and a basic vocabulary list, phrase list, text notes, and reading comprehension questions related to the theme are provided after each text. Given the broad scope of translation, the vocabulary and phrase lists will be helpful for students engaging in practical translation activities. The notes are primarily aimed at key knowledge points in the texts and are written in French, assisting students in understanding the texts and expanding their knowledge. The post-lesson questions serve as exercises, deepening students' comprehension of the texts and reinforcing their knowledge. The exercises are designed according to the exam format, divided into four main parts: vocabulary and grammar, reading comprehension, cloze, and composition. Among these, the reading materials, cloze, and composition are based on the theme of the texts and, like the texts themselves, use as much up-to-date material as possible to expand knowledge. However, considering the practical needs of exam preparation, the vocabulary and grammar exercises are independently designed. At the end of the book, there is also an exercise guide and answer key.
