Features: The Syllabus for Self-Tuition Examination of Comprehensive English (Part II) was compiled in accordance with the requirements of the National Higher Education Self-Tuition Examination Plan for English Majors, revised in 1995. In February 2000, the English Professional Committee held a manuscript review meeting to discuss and finalize the draft of this syllabus. This syllabus was edited by Professor Xu Kuerong of Beijing Foreign Studies University, with contributions from Associate Professor Chen Yaping and Lecturer Chen Hui. Professor Pan Shaozhong of Beijing Foreign Studies University, Professor Liu Beili of Capital Normal University, Professor Mei Renyi, Professor Yu Zhiyuan, and Professor Liu Runqing of Beijing Foreign Studies University participated in the review meeting and provided comments. The syllabus was finally approved by Professor Zhuang Yichuan, Chairman of the English Professional Committee.
