The author has been engaged in research on electromagnetic wave theory for over 30 years. In recent years, the author has completed multiple research projects with support from the National Science Foundation of the United States, the U.S. Navy and Army Research Institutes, IBM Corporation, and others. Some of the results of these projects have been included in this book. The feature of this book is the establishment of a unified macroscopic electromagnetic wave theory that complies with the principles of special relativity. Additionally, the book introduces a new fundamental unit for spatial frequency.
The second volume includes: scattering of electromagnetic waves by spheres, cylinders, rough surfaces, and irregular objects; and the consistency of Maxwell's equations with special relativity. The second volume of this book can serve as a textbook or reference for master's and doctoral students in electronic information-related majors in higher education institutions. It can also be used as a reference for relevant engineering technicians.
