Features: This book is written based on a rigorous analysis of the new changes in the listening test, combined with the characteristics of the questions, targeting the difficulties faced by candidates in the listening test. The book consists of four parts. Part 1 includes explanations of difficult phrases from the listening sections of authentic tests from January 1989 to 2000. The selected phrases are arranged in alphabetical order, with detailed explanations for each entry, including Chinese explanations of frequently tested meanings in the exam questions, as well as corresponding example sentences. The year and month of the exam are noted after each example sentence included. Part 2 selects phrases from exam questions before 1989, also arranged in alphabetical order, and excludes phrases that are repeated in Part 1. Part 3 collects common phrases outside the first two parts, with difficulty levels comparable to TOEFL listening phrases, so candidates should also master and flexibly apply them. Part 4 is an index that compiles all phrases from the first three parts and sorts them in alphabetical order for easy reference by candidates. The book is also equipped with three audio tapes read by native American experts with clear pronunciation to help candidates speed up their memorization.
