Whether it is the globalization that crashes ashore or the vibrant cultural diversity, whether it is the WTO, known as the "Economic United Nations," or the internet that can "make a global impact with a single strike," as well as the market economy that is vastly different from the planned economy, all have had an undeniable influence on the ideological and political quality education of college students. Paying attention to the living environment of college students, analyzing the role and impact of environmental factors on them, and then striving to explore methods and paths to maximize benefits while minimizing harm, in order to contribute to the healthy growth of college students—this is the purpose of writing this book. The ideological and political education in universities itself should be an open system. Absorbing advanced human culture is an important part of modern ideological and political education, including embracing advanced culture from the West, such as the concepts of freedom, democracy, and equality. It is necessary to change the past narrow, stubborn, or even obsessive ideas and practices, while maintaining one's national identity within an open system to achieve the function of ideological and political education. Ideological and political education cannot avoid the "universal" important concepts of freedom and nationality. Objectively dealing with Western values is one of the issues that need to be addressed in the ideological and political education of college students.
