Vice President Jiang Xingchang of the Supreme People's Court serves as the Director of the Editorial Committee, while Vice Presidents Shen Deyong, Zhang Jun, and Xiong Xuanquan serve as Deputy Directors. Vice President Xiong Xuanquan serves as the Editor-in-Chief, and the five heads of the Criminal Trial Courts serve as Deputy Editors-in-Chief. In 2006, Criminal Trial Reference remained a bimonthly publication, with a total of six issues published throughout the year. It includes the following sections:

- [Criminal Judicial Norms and Their Understanding and Application] New criminal laws, legislative interpretations, judicial interpretations, and other regulatory documents of criminal justice. Invited colleagues who participated in drafting relevant criminal judicial norms to write articles on their understanding and application, explaining the background, issues addressed, and key considerations in applying the norms.
