Features: Overnight, we were awakened in our dreams by a creature called SARS, like an invisible killer, sending chills down our spines. We reacted swiftly, rushing to buy masks, food, and disinfectants. The thought of viruses floating in the air filled us with unprecedented fear and helplessness. Among the diseases threatening our lives, SARS was just a newcomer, but the psychological pressure it brought far exceeded its physical attack capabilities. Upon closer reflection, SARS was merely a state of mind. We realized that wherever there are people, there will be challenges—challenges are everyone’s inevitable "fast food." What we can do is protect our own state of mind. After all, compared to SARS, our state of mind is closer to us. We fear diseases because we cherish life, and if we cherish life, we should fill our lives with sunshine and happiness. We should untangle our complicated minds, dance with pressure, and find joy from within—this is when we no longer need to cry over spilled milk! Let’s treat happiness as a "contagious" emotion, spreading it to society and the people every day. During the days of SARS, we can pause and reflect on how to enjoy life and navigate it. We might lose some liveliness and unrestrained freedom, but we gain more leisure, calmness, and perhaps even more. The days of SARS are like a tough journey—only with enough endurance can we pass through safely. Don’t let the virus push us apart or isolate us; let us build a "sanctuary" of care and warmth together. The days of SARS bring us the same dangers, and to win the final victory, we need courage and boundless compassion. During the days of SARS, we must ask ourselves, as ordinary members of society, what we can do? And after SARS, what should we do next? Let’s wash our hands and then clasp them tighter; let me see your smiling eyes through my eight-layer mask!
