Let women speak for themselves: Cultural Tracing: Cultural Tracing

Features: This "series" is not strictly a "history of women" in the traditional sense; it merely expresses women's historical memories and feelings through the "voice of women," offering "female interpretations" of historical events and cultural phenomena we are already familiar with. It attempts to prove women's existence through female perspectives, providing history with a new lens and multiple avenues for reflection.
This "series" records women's experiences but is not entirely "feminist historiography." It does not intend to uncover women's special contributions or excessively emphasize their rights. Instead, it seeks to extract women's experiences from the "grand narrative of history" and examine how women responded to the immense changes of their times regarding issues such as nationality, class, politics, economics, and culture. The academic concerns of female scholars should not only be about women but also about history. For women who were once "unrecorded in history," reclaiming women's history is both a responsibility and an obligation. However, women have never existed in isolation. Women's suffering and liberation are merely parts of the "big history," and women's voices are echoes of the "history" itself—unreachable beyond their time and standing apart from it.
