Features: Many children are learning Go, which is exciting for the Go community. The saying "children's education is a matter of a century" implies that starting Go education with children is crucial for the future of Go. However, from a realistic perspective, there are many issues that need improvement in Go education. Especially at the frontline of Go education, where teachers directly interact with students, there are many research topics left to explore regarding teaching methods and students' understanding of teaching materials. Although these issues are discussed and researched by the Korea Baduk Association or the Go Department, due to a lack of researchers, they still cannot meet the needs of the development of Go education. The author recognizes the drawbacks and severity of problems in introductory education and has published this textbook to overcome these issues. This textbook appropriately reduces the difficulty of existing materials and includes fundamental Go concepts such as territory (empty) and moves from the first volume to change the misconception of viewing Go as a game of capturing pieces. At the same time, it includes interesting problems to enhance thinking skills, making the textbook more engaging. Attention training problems are also part of improving interest in Go.
