Features: Many children are learning Go, which is exhilarating for the Go community. The saying "children's education is a matter of a century" implies that starting Go education with children is crucial for the future of Go. However, from a practical perspective, there are many issues that need improvement in Go education. Especially at the frontline of Go education, where teachers directly interact with students, there are many research topics left to explore regarding teaching methods and students' comprehension of teaching materials. Although these issues are discussed and researched by the Korea Baduk Association or the Go Department, due to a lack of researchers, they still cannot meet the needs of the development of Go education. The author recognizes the drawbacks and severity of problems in introductory education, and to overcome these issues, we published this textbook. This textbook appropriately reduces the difficulty of existing materials and, to change the wrong perception of Go as a game of capturing stones, includes fundamental Go concepts such as territory (empty) and movement from Volume 1. At the same time, it incorporates interesting problems to enhance thinking skills, making the textbook more engaging. Attention training problems are also included to improve interest in Go.
