What should I do if my baby's stool color is abnormal?

Patient's question:

My baby is five and a half months old. On November 5th, she caught a cold and had a fever (over 38 degrees Celsius). During the fever, her stool color was grayish-green, and it was a thin, greasy consistency. By November 10th, she had recovered, and her bowel movements became less frequent (now about twice a day, whereas before it was at least twice a day). There was one instance where her stool was normal in color. In the last three times, her stool color was dark grayish-gold, with a frothy surface and a foul odor. (Note: Fully formula-fed, using Feihe. Fed approximately every three hours, with each feeding about 120 milliliters, sometimes up to 150 milliliters. Occasionally fed every four hours.)

Doctor's answer:

Baby's bowel movements are abnormal mainly due to poor intestinal health. It should be caused by the baby's intestinal discomfort, so it is recommended to supplement probiotics for the baby to help optimize the intestinal health. The digestive function of the baby's intestines is not yet fully developed, so the green bowel movements are mainly the baby's own problem.
For babies who are exclusively breastfed, their bowel movements should be yellow and have a toothpaste-like consistency. For babies who are formula-fed, their bowel movements are light yellow and slightly firmer.
