Features: After more than three years of arduous efforts, our《》 has finally been published. This book is based on our teaching and research practices over the past two years, incorporating the strengths of several ancient literature monographs while integrating many of our unique research findings. It serves as the lecture notes for various specialized courses in college Chinese language, primarily focusing on ancient literature. To facilitate the teaching of college Chinese language as a public course in higher education and to enable non-literature majors to better learn and understand the overall picture of ancient Chinese literature, as well as to more deeply grasp the essence of literary works, we have compiled and organized the lecture notes for each specialized topic. Structured along the timeline of literary development as the vertical axis and the works of each era as the horizontal axis, the book combines historical analysis with selected texts, presenting our perspectives on certain issues. This approach aims to provide students with both a macro understanding of ancient Chinese literature and a micro-level appreciation of its nuances, thereby enhancing their literary literacy and general knowledge of history and culture.
