The author is the first to apply the structural equation model, which is popular in psychology, education, marketing, and other sciences and is at the forefront of statistical analysis techniques, to the construction and evaluation of urban competitiveness models. This makes the theoretical model of urban competitiveness more aligned with real-world conditions.
