"But there's a problem," said Mr. Guston. "As far as I know, you can't breathe underwater, and I only have one super high-tech diving suit. What should we do?" "We can ask Professor Ulysses for help," Bubbles suggested. So the Powerpuff Girls quickly flew home to find the professor and ask him how they could breathe underwater. The professor then went to his underground lab to conduct research. Shortly after, he brought three test tubes filled with the potion he had just developed—it was mixed according to a secret recipe! "Before you go underwater, drink this potion first, so you can breathe freely in the water," the professor instructed. "However, the effect of this potion only lasts for two hours, meaning you won't be able to breathe underwater after that, and you'll have to return to the submarine immediately." Buttercup said, "Two hours is enough! Thank you, Professor." The professor reminded her, "Oh, I also added some special chemical ingredients to Bubbles', Blossom's, and Buttercup's potions—you'll be able to understand fish like Bubbles can, and you'll be able to talk to any fish." "Sandyville is so clean!" Bubbles said. "It's about the same as Townsville," Blossom added. "Yeah, if Townsville had castles made of sand, that would be cool," Buttercup added. "Hey, look over there!" Bubbles suddenly exclaimed. She saw a huge, smooth monster slowly gnawing on a skyscraper. "And over there!" Blossom pointed to a group of masked eels, who had stolen a lot of gold coins and were sneaking out of a bank. "Look over there!" Bubbles shouted. She saw a squid wearing a black leather jacket, standing at the corner of the street, squirting ink at every passerby, then laughing heartily afterward as if nothing had happened. "He's such a bully," Bubbles said angrily. "Sisters, it's time for us to take action." The Powerpuff Girls drank the potion and swam into the deep sea. Bubbles swam along, saying, "Wow, I feel like I'm a mermaid. Ah, gulp-gulp, my voice—wait, why does it sound like bubbles popping?" Blossom then said, "Hey, Bubbles, why didn't you leave Otto in the submarine?" Bubbles realized that her toy octopus—Otto—was in her arms. P4-5
