Features: This book is one of the "Golden Book House" series. Clark is from the planet Krypton. When their spaceship exploded, he was adopted by an elderly couple, Jonathan and Martha Kent, on Earth. When he discovered he possessed extraordinary strength that could hardly injure his body, the ability to fly, super-sensitive senses, and the speed of his actions and thoughts far exceeding that of other Earthlings, he decided to help people on Earth escape from difficulties as Superman. He saved out-of-control planes in the sky; with his body, he withstood the impact of an explosion, protecting people and buildings; he dragged a sinking ship to the shore; and he rescued trapped people from a burning building.
