Features: Word divination, also known as character breaking, character analysis, or character disassembly, is a social folk culture phenomenon selected within the Chinese cultural sphere. In the realm of humanities and social sciences, it should have its own garden. In my limited view as a small fish in a pond, there is still no dedicated work on word divination published in China to this day. Under such circumstances, choosing this topic for writing seems somewhat presumptuous. After delving into it, I have come to realize how bizarre, bewildering, and chaotic this mysterious field is, and I have repeatedly had the urge to give up on it quickly. However, simply labeling word divination as "superstitious" cannot make those who are fascinated by it turn back, nor can it provide a scientific clarification of its complex system. Every time I think about this, I find myself unable to give up, and I can only strive to see it through.
