Features: The Netherlands is one of the most developed countries in the theory of private international law. At the same time, in terms of legislation and judicial practice in private international law, it is also one of the most representative countries in the civil law system. Many of its legislative and practical approaches in private international law fully reflect the current trends in the development of private international law, demonstrating rationality and advancement. These are outstanding achievements in private international law, worthy of reference and absorption by other countries, especially China. This book adopts a comparative approach to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study of the legislative and judicial practices in private international law between China and the Netherlands. It clarifies the similarities and differences between the two, identifies China's shortcomings and gaps, and aims to provide valuable references for improving China's private international law. The book is divided into five parts, totaling fourteen chapters.
Part I consists of three chapters, providing an overall explanation of the relationship between private international law and comparative law, as well as the special significance of conducting a comparative study of the private international law systems of China and the Netherlands. It also conducts a comparative study of the fundamental issues in private international law.
Part II consists of six chapters, discussing the comparison of legal conflicts in civil and commercial legal relations between China and the Netherlands.
Part III consists of two chapters, discussing the comparison of international civil jurisdiction systems between China and the Netherlands.
Part IV consists of two chapters, discussing the comparison of international civil judicial assistance between China and the Netherlands.
Part V consists of one chapter, discussing the comparison of international commercial arbitration systems between China and the Netherlands.
