Features: In 1998, the author's research project "Study on the Supervision System of Local People's Congresses" was approved by the second batch of projects under the "Nineteen-Ninety-Five" Plan for Humanities and Social Sciences Research by the Ministry of Education. The success of the project application was not only an affirmation of my many years of research in this field by the expert reviewers but also an affirmation of the planning and argumentation of the project. It also gave the author new encouragement to deepen the study of the local People's Congress supervision mechanism. Taking this opportunity, the author comprehensively reviewed the local People's Congress supervision mechanism, re-integrated its internal elements, and expanded the research perspective. This book is the final research outcome of this project.
