What is generally sexual dysfunction

Patient's question:

My younger brother has a girlfriend he has been dating for 3 years. One time, he came home early and found his girlfriend with someone else. He was very angry and broke up with her. Recently, he went on a blind date, but his brother said he couldn't sleep with this girl. The doctor checked and said my brother has a sexual dysfunction, but he used to be fine?

Doctor's answer:

Males' sexual dysfunction can be broadly categorized into four major types based on clinical manifestations:
1. Desire disorders: Decreased libido, sexual aversion, hypersexuality.
2. Erection disorders: Premature ejaculation, abnormal penile erection.
3. Ejaculation disorders: Premature ejaculation, anejaculation, retrograde ejaculation, nocturnal emission.
4. Sensory disorders: Dyspareunia (pain during intercourse), dysorgasmia (pain during ejaculation).
For example, premature ejaculation may be caused by organic factors such as insufficient arterial blood supply, excessive venous outflow, neuroconductive disorders, or endocrine dysfunction, while non-organic factors include training fatigue, marital relationship issues, or sexual anxiety. Additionally, the use of antidepressants, smoking, drug abuse, certain injuries, and surgeries are common causes of erectile dysfunction.
