Patient's question:
During urination, there's a feeling of not urinating cleanly, then it seems very weak when urinating, the stream is very thin, and even feels like it's hard to urinate. Is this condition prostatitis? If so, please ask: How is prostatitis treated?Doctor's answer:
Prostate hyperplasia is a very terrible disease condition because the prostate may lead to urinary toxicity in later stages. In the early stage, mild intestinal obstruction occurs in the urethra, and patients can still empty their urine on time, but the time required for urination has become longer than that of normal people. As it progresses to the middle stage, the urethral intestinal obstruction worsens, the urethral resistance increases, and it becomes lower than the bladder's urination ability. Patients then experience symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency. The urine in the bladder cannot be completely emptied, resulting in residual urine. In the late stage, the urethral intestinal obstruction becomes severe, and the bladder's compensatory function is insufficient. Due to the increased intravesical pressure, it is transmitted upward to the kidneys, causing elevated intrarenal pressure in both kidneys, leading to bilateral hydronephrosis and damaging kidney function.
