Features: With the rapid development of modern science and technology, the ever-evolving internet, communication, and digital products, it seems as if overnight, humanity has entered a nimble, inclusive, decisive, and intelligent digital era. In this era, automation, electronics, and information technology are at the forefront of new technological advancements, and it is now difficult to find any industry that does not utilize these technologies. Modern automation, electronics, and information technology have been integrated with emerging disciplines across various fields, making interdisciplinary collaboration one of its defining characteristics. As related disciplines continue to develop, new technical terms in automation, electronics, and information technology are constantly emerging. In literature and materials, acronyms frequently appear, and their density is increasing. To help a wide range of professionals—technicians, university faculty and students, translators, and maintenance personnel for imported equipment—correctly understand and use these acronyms, we have compiled this practical, innovative, comprehensive yet concise glossary of acronyms, striving to include as many terms as possible that have frequently appeared in foreign publications in recent years. The translations are designed to be standardized. The glossary primarily includes acronyms related to automation, electronics, and information technology, as well as their applications in various industries and related technologies. The book contains approximately 45,000 entries. The following individuals contributed to the compilation of this glossary: Geng Jing, Zhang Kaiyi, Geng Ying, Yuan Chang, Yuan Kang, and Sun Sujun, among others. Mr. Zhang Zhiyuan of the Translation Society of Nova Scotia, Canada, provided substantial materials and contributed to the writing of certain sections. This glossary has been supplemented and revised by Mr. Lin Shenzong of the Beijing Institute of Mechanical Industry Automation. We extend our gratitude to him as well. Due to the rapid development of automation, electronics, and information technology, new acronyms continue to emerge, making it challenging to include them all at once. Additionally, due to my limited expertise, there may be errors and omissions in the book. We sincerely invite readers to point them out.
