Patient's question:
June 7, 2013 BC showed biparietal diameter 92mm, fetal heart rate 144 beats per minute. The left kidney of the fetus was approximately 4718mm, with dilatation of the renal pelvis and calyces, with a transverse diameter of about 10mm showing a mottled change, with the thinner cortex about 5mm posteriorly. The right kidney of the fetus was approximately 4220mm, with dilatation of the renal pelvis and calyces, with a transverse diameter of about 9mm, with the thinner cortex about 4mm posteriorly. A tubular anechoic area approximately 5611 was visible in the abdomen, ,,,, Visited the Maternal and Child Health Hospital in our county.Doctor's answer:
The collecting system of a normal fetal kidney can be classified as mildly separated, with a separation diameter of up to six millimeters. After 30 weeks of gestation, hydronephrosis is diagnosed when the renal pelvis dilation is greater than or equal to 10 millimeters or when there is dilation of the calyces. Hydronephrosis is divided into two types: one is reversible, with an width of 1.01-1.63 centimeters, relatively thick renal parenchyma (1.02-0.58 centimeters), and the hydronephrosis disappears after the fetus is born due to changes in the environment. It is commonly seen in cases of large amounts of urine filling the fetal bladder or ureteral rhythmic contraction disorders caused by certain reasons.
