Features: This book primarily approaches the subject from the perspective of GSM principles and network optimization. It first provides users with a foundational understanding of GSM network principles by introducing the composition of the GSM mobile communication system, optimization processes, and the theory of the wireless interface. Subsequently, through the analysis of call processing and the introduction of signaling protocols, it organically integrates the BSS and NSS parts of GSM, enabling readers to gain a comprehensive and profound understanding of the signaling transmission processes between mobile stations and the network for various communication needs. This section constitutes the theoretical knowledge for GSM network optimization, which indeed has a certain depth and difficulty for beginners. At the end of the book, it elaborates in detail on the practical knowledge related to network optimization operations, including the optimization and adjustment of common parameters, key issues to be noted in network optimization, and the handling of network faults. This part is the application and practice of GSM network optimization theory, and by citing numerous examples, it helps readers find starting points for addressing various challenging network issues. The book is relatively practical and highly readable for a broad audience engaged in GSM network optimization, maintenance, research, and management.
