Urinary discomfort

Patient's question:

Previously, I had small growths on my external genitalia. The doctor said it was a sexually transmitted disease called 'one o' and that applying the medication cured it. I didn't go for a follow-up checkup. Before that, I had pain during urination and excessive vaginal discharge. The doctor said it was a urinary tract infection. Since then, I've frequently experienced pain during urination, and it has never been properly treated. Last year, I developed several granular growths on my upper body. I read online that it might be related to the untreated sexually transmitted disease from years ago. It has been over a decade.

Doctor's answer:

You can buy some topical medications to treat oral candidiasis, such as ciprofloxacin and metronidazole. It is best to use them for more than two weeks, and the effect should be quite good. Additionally, be mindful that you should not have sexual intercourse during the treatment period. Bathe frequently and maintain good hygiene. Change your underwear often.
