Features: The Baise Site is one of the important archaeological research topics of the Paleolithic era in southern China. Since its discovery in 1973, comprehensive surveys of geology and geomorphology have been conducted, and over a thousand stone artifacts unearthed have been systematically sorted and classified, yielding encouraging results in stratigraphy and cultural dating. This book is an archaeological report on the site. The purpose of this book is to systematically organize the more than 8,000 Paleolithic artifacts and related data collected or excavated in the Baise Basin over the past 30 years, in hopes of drawing more attention and research to the Paleolithic of Baise, thereby revealing the mysteries of ancient human development in the Baise Basin. The book places great emphasis on its reference value, introducing the Paleolithic of Baise as comprehensively and objectively as possible. Unexplained phenomena or difficult-to-categorize stone artifacts are also recorded as they are, for future research.
