Features: Causes and dietary therapy for frigidity
Frigidity refers to the lack of normal sexual desire. If a person lacks normal sexual desire shortly after marriage or before the age of sexual desire decline, shows no interest in sexual life, or even gradually develops aversion, exhibiting symptoms of frigidity, this is a pathological condition or an unhealthy manifestation. Frigidity can occur in both men and women. Female frigidity is also known as coldness of the vagina. There are many causes of frigidity, and it is often not caused by a single factor.
(1) Lack of proper understanding of sexual life
Some women believe that sexual life between husband and wife is ugly and something to be ashamed of, making them feel shy and fearful each time, performing very reluctantly. Others think that sexual life is primarily about the man's pleasure and that women merely fulfill their duty as wives, which suppresses sexual response.
(2) Psychological factors
During sexual life, women may have many concerns, leading to excessive mental tension, such as fear of pregnancy, fear of pain, fear of being discovered, and worry about not reaching orgasm. Their deliberate pursuit of orgasm distracts their attention from the act.
(3) Excessive fatigue
Before sexual life, the person is already exhausted, and as soon as they lie down, sleepiness sets in. Sleep becomes a need, naturally making it difficult to develop sexual desire.
(4) Lack of emotional connection between partners
Sex life becomes something the woman is unwilling to do, and for some women, it is even seen as a humiliation or violation by their husband, causing deep emotional distress and naturally leading to a lack of sexual desire.
(5) Disharmonious sexual life
The husband ignores the wife's sexual psychology and response characteristics, engaging in intercourse too quickly when he feels aroused. By the time the wife's desire begins to stir, the husband has already rushed to orgasm and entered the refractory period, leaving the wife unsatisfied and only experiencing the pain of sexual life. Over time, this loss of interest in sexual life naturally leads to a lack of desire.
(6) Physical injuries or diseases
Postpartum perineal laceration that has not yet healed, excessive granulation tissue during healing, or organic diseases such as those affecting the vulva, vagina, uterus, bladder, or pelvic area can all cause pain during intercourse, suppressing sexual desire.
(7) Physical factors
Weak physical constitution or systemic diseases in women, such as tuberculosis, liver and kidney diseases, severe neurotic syndrome, or anemia, can also lead to a lack of sexual desire.
(8) Prolonged breastfeeding
Some women continue to breastfeed their children until they are two or three years old, leading to a decline in their own sexual desire.
(9) Medication factors
Certain medications can significantly suppress sexual desire, such as opium-based narcotics or barbiturate-based sedatives, which have a serious impact on female orgasm and may even eliminate the response to orgasm.
(10) Endocrine factors
Poor ovarian function or dysfunction of the adrenal cortex and pituitary gland can all affect normal sexual desire.
Traditional Chinese Medicine believes that frigidity is often caused by exhaustion and damage to the uterine meridians, weakness of the uterus, or deficiency of kidney yang, allowing wind-cold pathogens to invade the vagina.

### Section 5: Wrong Sexual Concepts
Night emissions are a symbol of sexual dysfunction. Almost all men have experienced nocturnal emissions, and about 85% of them reach orgasm in their dreams. This is more common in single men in their teens and twenties (especially teenagers), but a survey also found that 86-year-old elderly men still experience this phenomenon. This occurs in boys around the age of 14 or 15, occurring approximately every 10 to 35 days.
(1) Counter-reaction to high sexual tension
It is commonly believed that most night emissions stop after marriage. For many men, this is true, but surveys also show that about 50% of men still experience this phenomenon after marriage. However, at any age, night emissions account for only a very small proportion of all sexual phenomena.
