Features: From a cultural geographical perspective, it is hard to believe that the inland province of Xinjiang, located in the vast deserts of the Western Regions, has any connection with the ocean. If it were not for modern earth science revealing that Xinjiang was once part of the ancient Mediterranean, perhaps the people here would still live their lives without any connection to the sea. It was once the ocean, but it has vanished without a trace. Precisely because it once existed, we pursue and seek to explore its appearance from back then, no matter how long ago it has been gone from us.
