Features: Children are the hope of their parents, the future of the nation, and the hope of humanity. Nurturing the next generation is essential for "adapting to the challenges of the 21st century" and the "great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." Developing talent should start with children, and the first step is to cultivate their strong physical health, as "nutrition is the foundation of health." Currently, many parents lack basic knowledge about nutrition and even hold misconceptions, easily being misled by certain incorrect advertisements, incurring significant financial costs. However, the results are minimal, and it may even have a negative impact on children's healthy growth. In response to the current situation, the Shanghai Municipal Fund for Child Health and the Shanghai Student Nutrition Promotion Association have organized experts and renowned professors in child nutrition and health care from Shanghai to jointly compile this book, "Comprehensive Nutrition for Children and Adolescents." This book has distinctive features. First, it is "comprehensive," meaning it covers a wide range of topics, from women preparing for pregnancy to pregnancy, childbirth, and the nutritional needs of infants, young children, and adolescents. Additionally, it includes diseases related to nutrition and diet, nutrition for sick children, nutritional status evaluation, the selection of children's food, cooking, and cultivating healthy eating habits, making it highly attractive for parents. In terms of content, the book is rich and truly deserves the title "Comprehensive Nutrition for Children and Adolescents." Second, it is "innovative," as the book introduces relatively new content, incorporating the latest research findings and achievements in nutrition from experts and scholars both domestically and internationally. Third, it is "practical," as the book is written with the goal of enabling readers to apply the knowledge to their daily lives, making it highly operational and accessible to the general public. At the same time, it also provides guidance on how to adopt a correct, scientific, and dialectical perspective on advertising claims in the market today, as well as how to analyze and compare various products, discarding the dross and embracing the essence. Fourth, it is "accessible," as the book explains nutritional science knowledge in an easy-to-understand manner, making it convenient to learn and widely applicable. I believe the publication of this book will greatly contribute to popularizing national nutritional science knowledge, improving people's nutritional levels, and promoting the healthy growth of children.
