Features: Most of the texts in this book were written over a decade or two ago and can be considered old articles. What brings me comfort is that there are still readers who enjoy these writings, including the lovely young readers who have grown up since then. In this noisy era, for an ordinary person like me, it is quite enough to have my writings read by others even after a decade or two. But I won’t be overjoyed by this, because I understand in my heart that my works have no qualification to be passed down through generations. I only believe one thing: a person can only truly write for himself, and his works will then have a relatively long life. In the future, whether it is academic works or literary works, I will still adhere to this principle. To write for oneself is also to write for every person who faces and thinks about the same problems as oneself. This is the only possible way I can imagine to write for humanity.
