Chinese prose has a long and rich tradition. Over thousands of years, prose creation has expressed emotions, conveyed aspirations, depicted landscapes, or recalled people, reflecting the changes of the times and the thoughts and feelings of people. These fine traditions of Chinese prose have not only been fully inherited but also continuously innovated and developed in the new literature of the 20th century. To showcase the achievements of Chinese prose creation since the 20th century, we edited and published thirty volumes of "Treasures of Chinese Prose" at the beginning of the new century. Five years have passed, and we have now refined this into a new series of sixteen illustrated "Treasures of Chinese Prose." Through careful selection, this series not only adds over 50,000 new words per volume but also includes several precious photographs reflecting the authors' life journeys. Truly, the exquisite prose and beautiful illustrations complement each other, making it both a delightful companion for appreciation and a superior choice for collection and gifting.
