Features: Eight years ago, several young teachers working at the Design Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts believed that traditional painting sketches, Kandinsky's form foundations, and the structural sketches by the institution's teachers were not suitable for the historical progress of design and needed reform and development. I voted in favor of their actions. My opinion at the time was: Design is the combination of art, science, and the economy. It is born and grows in this integration, and it develops and flourishes in this integration. Form foundations are beneficial to design. Art constantly changes and evolves, naturally promoting the changes and development of design. The construction and development of this course should not be bound by traditional sketching concepts. As long as it is art and beneficial to the reform and development of design, it is worth boldly moving forward. Design Sketching is a textbook that faithfully reflects the teaching situation of the Design Division. Although it also uses points, lines, strokes, shapes, and value tones to shape images and conduct ( is a Chinese term meaning "shape-making technical training"), the difference lies in the fact that the textbook proposes topics such as structural analysis, value studies, line refinement, planar imagery, spatial construction, deconstruction and reconstruction, and image association, aiming to strengthen the training of creative abilities for design images, allowing the foundational aspects to closely ( is a Chinese term meaning "to coordinate with the upper form").
