Features: China has traditionally placed more emphasis on fine arts than on crafts. Through a period of teaching and learning, the author believes that craft art should not be overlooked, as it contains many design ideas worth referencing, which can provide nourishment for modern art and design, embodying the principle of "using the old to enrich the new." Therefore, I think compiling a history of Chinese craft art would be highly beneficial, offering students in fields such as craft art and art design a valuable learning and reference material. As a comprehensive history of craft art, it would ideally include around four to five hundred images. Due to various factors, I have only selected 280 images, which, from a historical perspective, may still seem somewhat sparse. However, I have strived to choose representative images from various craft categories across different historical periods to illustrate the general state of craft art during each era.
