Features: In over a century of film history, every advancement in film technology has fundamentally influenced the development of film art. Modern audio-visual, lighting, electrical, and computer technologies have had a revolutionary impact on film art. They not only affect the language of film art and film production methods but also influence film viewing styles, audience psychology, and aesthetic concepts of film. Therefore, we must stand at the height of history and a new starting point to re-examine and integrate traditional film theory concepts, establishing a modern and scientific theoretical system of film art and technology that aligns with the new situation. Of course, this can currently only be considered a hypothesis, and this book can only serve as the material preparation we have made for future research work. The articles selected in this book are all papers on film art and technology published in the journals Contemporary Film and Modern Communication in the past five years. We hope to use this as a starting point to advance our research toward the goals we aspire to achieve.
