For this edition, Qu and Painting · Three Hundred Yuanqu Pieces, we focus on its appreciation and collection value, leveraging the complementary function of traditional Chinese poetry (ci/qu) and painting. We aim for a rich integration of text and images, with elegant and exquisite cover design. To this end, the Press has used the 1958 edition of Selected Yuanqu by Zhonghua Book Company and the 1986 edition of Complete Yuan Qu as the basis, consulting other editions to select 310 qu pieces from various authors, striving to reflect the general development of Yuanqu. We have also invited renowned contemporary painters nationwide to create exquisite paintings for each piece, making the music of the qu harmonize with the imagery of the paintings. Additionally, we have included insightful and concise commentaries written by experts in classical literature, allowing this excellent literary heritage to shine brilliantly in the new era.
