Features: The folk music of our country has a long history, diverse genres, rich repertoire, and varied regional styles. The dizi is one of the most representative traditional Chinese musical instruments. The bamboo flute possesses a rich expressive power and numerous unique playing techniques. Its music is beautiful and melodious, widely loved by the people. In recent years, China's folk music industry has been flourishing, and the bamboo flute, as an important member of the family of traditional music, has frequently appeared on the international stage. Many internationally renowned composers have created many excellent solo, ensemble, and orchestral works for the dizi. Therefore, when compiling this book, in addition to traditional exercises and traditional pieces, I have adapted and transplanted many Western exercises and pieces using the twelve-tone system and the half-hole playing method. The notation is divided into two types: simple notation and staff notation. This is done to enable more dizi enthusiasts to acquire and master richer playing techniques. It is precisely because of these exercises that my growth path has benefited greatly. Therefore, I am willing to share some of my experiences and insights from my recent years of performing and teaching, hoping to bring you some help. This book is suitable for both beginners and enthusiasts with some playing experience.
