Features: "Searching for Fang Da Zeng: A Missing Photographer" is a book about the photographic works of the photographer Fang Da Zeng. I believe many who enjoy photographic works have heard this name. I don’t know, though, even though I enjoy photography, I just like looking at what others have recorded—I don’t have the time or the energy to take photos myself. Perhaps I could say I’m not professional, and indeed that’s exactly it—I just enjoy watching others’ classic moments, which is also a form of interaction. I don’t expect to match others’ skills, as long as I’m blessed to see them. In reality, this book takes its name from "Searching for Fang Da Zeng," but it goes further by exploring the techniques of Fang Da Zeng to find the chapters of an era. Fang Da Zeng wasn’t a renowned photographer, yet he has a book dedicated to him. However, his works encapsulate the essence of a period in history, a quality others don’t possess. Fang Da Zeng’s works represent the story of an era, something no one else can replace. When we search for Fang Da Zeng, we’re often looking for the memories of that time, memories triggered by one person. Fang Da Zeng disappeared, leaving behind many photographs. Such a young life vanished in such a profession, and the outcome was inevitable. Today, all we can do is reminisce about that era, about Fang Da Zeng of that time. This book, about Fang Da Zeng’s photographic works, includes: "The Disappearance of 1937"; "The Meaning of Disappearance"; "A News Warrior Who Sacrificed Himself for the Nation"; "Half a Century of Search"; "Searching for the Vanishing Moments"; "Remembering Little Fang"; "Missing Little Fang"; "Mourning Little Fang, Who Sacrificed in the Early Days of the War of Resistance"; "Changxin Station on the Verge of Crisis," and more.
