Features: The National English Level Test (PETS) is a national English proficiency examination system designed and administered by the National Education Examination Administration Center. It consists of five levels. Level 1 is the initial level, and Level 5 is the advanced level. This examination has strong substitutability. Levels 2 and 3 have officially replaced the English proficiency exams for non-English majors in higher education diplomas and self-taught college examinations. The results of Level 2 will also be used for college admissions, while Levels 2 and 3 can respectively replace the foreign language additional test scores for secondary vocational and higher vocational school admissions. To help candidates preparing for the PETS exam, we have compiled this "PETS Level 3-4 Vocabulary Quick Reference Handbook." This book includes approximately 2,000 words for Level 3 and 1,500 words for Level 4 of the PETS exam. Each word is provided with the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), part of speech, and Chinese definitions. To facilitate learning for candidates of different levels, the level to which each entry belongs is also marked before it. This book is written by experienced PETS instructors, with definitions focused on the key points of past relevant exams. The explanations are concise and accurate. Memorizing these definitions can effectively improve readers' English proficiency, enabling them to achieve success in the PETS exam.
