Features: In the compilation of "Practical French Interpretation (Level 3)," the authors took "Practical English Interpretation (Level 3)" as a blueprint, primarily referring to its writing model and thematic content, while placing greater emphasis on the fundamental principles and skills of interpretation training.
1. Strive to select authentic interpretation materials.
2. Adapt written materials into spoken discourse as much as possible.
3. Even in the "Single-Sentence Translation" exercises designed for exam preparation, the authors made every effort to choose sentences that are both structurally complete and convey full communicative meaning, such as idiomatic expressions, slogans, and common phrases.
4. The "English-Chinese and Chinese-English Translation" and "Text Interpretation" sections from "Practical English Interpretation (Level 3)" were revised to "Dialogue Interpretation" and "Discourse Interpretation," aiming to highlight the oral expression characteristics of discourse.
The interpretation thinking process mainly consists of three stages: logical comprehension, conceptual memory, and communicative expression, each relying on a series of related skills. The logical comprehension stage primarily depends on techniques such as source language information reception, analysis and induction, and predictive reasoning. For this reason, each unit's "Interpretation Practice" is accompanied by listening completion exercises, and each unit's interpretation discourse is provided with audio recordings.
